The Kingdom of God has come in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. And yet it is not present yet in its fullness. God has given the Church the Holy Spirit as a pledge of its reality. The Church exists as a 'down payment' of God's Kingdom-- to be a sign, instrument, and foretaste of it.

Believers have a sacred trust, a ministry of reconciliation, that only arrives when we walk in the newness of who Christ called us to be or become. Only as we die to ourselves are we able to receive the newness, purpose, and ultimately unique ministry that Christ has called for each one of us. Similar to the Apostle Paul’s amazing transformation, we all are undergoing a journey of becoming what God has created us to be, but this journey requires true identification with Christ – both in his death and resurrection.
