In the busyness of life, it’s easy to forget what’s most important. In the chaos of our schedules, it’s not hard to neglect what is going to give us the most life. It’s simple to sense God’s presence on Sundays. But what about Monday through Saturday?

"...to the place where God was homeless, all of us are invited home." - G.K. Chesterton
Every year our worship volunteers and staff spend countless hours paying particular attention to Christmas Eve. If you were not able to join us for any of those services and are in need of some extra long-lasting Christmas spirit this year, head on over to our YouTube page and give one a viewing or a listen. These services are carefully curated to be a meaningful worship experience in their entirety, and with that in mind and all the hours put in by our teams, it has not been our tradition to do any additional posting of material beyond the services themselves. However, given how hard the beginning of this year has felt for many between illness, world events, and politics, we felt like sharing a quick little bit of warmth in the midst of a world in turmoil and a reminder of where our hearts can truly feel at home and at peace.

That's what this series is going to be all about. We are going to explore seven different practices- sometimes called Spiritual Disciplines- that Christians have engaged in for centuries that we know have the power to grow your relationship with Jesus.

At Christmas, we're told that God has good news of great joy! But the circumstances of our lives may not be very joyful. Joy is not rooted in our circumstances. Our circumstances are rooted in joy.
